VST Plugins are small pieces of software used in digital audio production. Airwindows have been developing such software for many years. Their latest plugin is a channel strip called consoleX.
It’s a powerful piece of software for those working in audio production but the interface could benefit from a bit of polish. See below:
I took the original layout and applied some basic graphic design principles of colour and proximity to help the user navigate the various controls. Visually the design gives a nod to vintage studio gear with a 3 dimensional finish. See below:
Not content with the flat visual I then took the design into my favorite 3D software, Blender, and came up the the following animation. I think it turned out pretty nice. See below:
